Stage size, trim height, aiming and truss. An empty field is derived by the generator from the fixture count.

Order and DMX
How DMX addresses, Fixture IDs and Unit Numbers are numbered. All directions are seen from the audience.

Program
Where you will open the scene. The profile adjusts the MVR version, 3D model format and writing details (e.g. Fixture ID) for that program.

Frequently asked questions
What does the MVR file contain and what can I open it in?
It contains the fixtures with embedded GDTF, the DMX patch and the 3D placement including the truss structure. Just drag the file into the “DMX Music Visualization” program with the mouse and the whole show appears in the 3D Stage Visualizer. You can also open it in grandMA3, Capture, Depence, Vectorworks, MagicQ, WYSIWYG, BlenderDMX or directly in the 3D Stage Visualizer. Set the program profile in step 05.
Why are some fixtures missing from the scene?
Only items with a GDTF file go into the scene. The others stay in the list and the page marks them “not in the scene”.
How do I build a scene from several MVR files?
After downloading the first MVR, use “Continue from the previous MVR” in step 04 — addresses and Fixture IDs of the next file start after the first one and the file gets the next project part, so importing it does not overwrite the first. Scene offset and position prefix are in the advanced options.
What does the Festival preset do?
Each truss gets its own ten universes (11–, 21–, 31–…), each type on a truss starts at .001 of its universe and trusses are numbered from the back — like the Vectorworks sample festival scenes.
Why is the truss wider than the stage?
The generator keeps the given fixture spacing. If the units do not fit the stage, it extends the structure and says so in the notes — reduce the spacing or choose another placement.
Is the Pan/Tilt inversion transferred to the console?
It is written into the MVR, but BlenderDMX does not read it and grandMA3 apparently ignores it on import. In grandMA3, MAtricks Wings also give mirrored movement.
